Certain provides a minimal invasive valve solution that is easily placed in the female urethra with a delivery catheter.

The system is designed to stay in place for at least 6 months (future aim is longer) with a switchable valve that is operated by the user. When the valve is closed no urine can pass, when it is opened the women can void.

Unique technical features of the design are (1) largest open diameter of a valve enabling a standard catheter fitting through in case of emergency, (2) overpressure safety opening system, (3) self-cleaning mechanism of the valve, (4) wireless switching mechanism and (5) completely removable without lasting damage.

The system is designed with the materials to prevent infection and encrustation.
